Through Christ Jesus

Be Encouraged!

All of God’s promises find their “Yes” in one person—Jesus Christ. He is not only the messenger of God’s blessings; He is the very means by which we receive them. Everything we have from God comes through Him.

Galatians 3:14 (NLT)

“Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.”

Reflection
The blessings of God are not abstract. They are not accessed through self-discipline, lineage, or religious effort. Paul is clear: they come through Christ Jesus. Without Him, we have no claim. In Him, we have full access.

Jesus is the true and better Abraham, the faithful Israelite, the perfect Son. All the requirements of the law that we failed to meet—He fulfilled. All the promises of God that seemed out of reach—He brought near. Jesus didn’t just make blessing possible; He made it personal. Through His life, death, and resurrection, the way has been opened.

When we place our faith in Christ, we are not merely forgiven—we are united with Him. His righteousness becomes ours. His relationship with the Father becomes ours. And His access to the Spirit becomes our inheritance. The same Spirit who rested upon Jesus at His baptism now rests upon us because we are in Him.

This changes everything. We don’t pray hoping to be heard—we pray in Jesus’ name. We don’t serve to earn favor—we serve from the favor already given. Jesus is the gateway to every spiritual blessing. All the grace of heaven flows through Him into the lives of those who believe.

Application
Remind yourself today: it’s all through Christ. Your identity, your access, your hope—it all begins and ends with Him. When you feel distant from God, don’t try to bridge the gap with effort. Return to Christ. Abide in Him. Trust that the Spirit is yours not because you’ve performed well, but because you belong to Jesus.

Prayer
Jesus, everything I need flows through You. Thank You for making the way open. Thank You that I don’t have to earn what You’ve already secured. Help me to live today with confidence—not in myself, but in Your finished work. Let my heart rest in the truth that I am fully blessed in You. Amen.
